Choreographer Akram Khan mixes spirituality, womanly rituals and desert landscapes

Choreographer and dancer Akram Khan took ideas from the Nabataean tribes of the Saudi Arabian desert for his most current creation “Thikra: Night of Keeping in mind”, as he explores regional practices with Saudi musician Manal Al Dowayan. We also review his life-changing partnership with the late director Peter Creek and his forthcoming tasks as Khan tours his last production with the dance business he started 25 years ago.
